I am big fan of “batata vada”. i would like to share the recipe for it with you all.
3. green chili paste
4. curry leaves
mash boiled potatoes.Now add ginger garlic & chili paste, salt to it. heat oil for tadka. add mustard & cumin let them cracle. add hing &turmeric & curry leaves. tunr off gas. add this tadka to earlier mashed potato. mix well. make small balls & keep aside.
now in a bowl take basan add little turmeric,red chili powder,salt. add water to make batter as thick as pakoda batter (not very thin). add pinch of baking soda & mix.
now take potato ball & dip in basan batter , coat it well & fry in oil till golden brown. our vada is ready. you can eat it with tomato ketchup or
heat oil for frying our vada.
