BENGALI BHUNI MACHLI

Ingredients

  • Fish (sliced)½ kg
  • Onion 1
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 2 – 3
  • Ginger 1 medium piece
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped2 tbsp

COOKING DIRECTIONS

Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion and sauté till tender.

Now add 2 – 3 chopped green chilies, 1 medium piece of chopped ginger and 1 tsp all spice powder. Fry for 1 – 2 minutes.

Add 250 gm yogurt and salt to taste. Cook till sauce thickens.
Then add in ½ kg fish pieces, cook for a few minutes from one side, now flip and cook the other side.

Lastly add 1 tsp sugar, salt to taste and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Mix well and dish it out. Serve hot.
