CHICKEN KARAHI

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken 1/2 kg.
  • Tomatoes 250g. (finely sliced)
  • Onion 1 (finely sliced)
  • Olive oil 1/2 cup
  • Green Chillies 5-6 ( whole )
  • Garlic paste 2 teaspoons
  • Ginger paste 2 teaspoons
  • Ground Coriander 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground Cumin 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper 1/4 teaspoon
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala powder 3/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  • Salt as to taste
  • Fresh Green Coriander (for Garnishing)
  • Ginger (for Garnishing)

COOKING DIRECTIONS

Heat the olive oil and add chicken, garlic paste, ginger paste, tomatoes finely sliced, red chilli powder, onion sliced and salt cover and cook until chicken is tender on medium flame.

Uncover and add ground coriander, ground turmeric, ground black pepper, ground cumin, yogurt, green chillies ( whole ), garam masala powder and lemon juice stir well and cover then reduce the heat and simmer for 15minutes.

Garnish with chopped fresh green coriander and ginger.

Ready to serve.

Serve 6-8 persons.
