Chicken Liver Masala

 

Recipe Ingredients

  • Chicken lever   ½ kg
  • Peas boiled  ½ cup
  • Onion chopped  1
  • Oil  ¼ cup
  • Cinnamon  2 sticks
  • Potatoes chopped  2
  • Salt  to taste
  • Water  1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste  2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder  1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder  1 tsp
  • Turmeric  1 tsp
  • Chili powder  1 tbsp
  • Boiled tomatoes  3
  • Green chilies 3 – 4
  • All spice powder  1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves  2 tbsp
  • Nutmeg mace powder  ½ tsp

Recipe Method

  1. Wash ½ kg chicken liver very well. Cut into small pieces.
  2. Heat ½ cup oil in a pan, add 1 chopped onion and 2 cinnamon sticks. Fry till onion is tender.
  3. Now add chicken liver and fry for 2 – 3 minutes.
  4. Then add ½ cup potato cubes, salt to taste, 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp all spice powder, ½ tsp nutmeg mace powder and 1 cup water.
  5. Cover and cook on low flame for 5 – 6 minutes.
  6. Remove lid, add chopped tomatoes, 3 – 4 chopped green chilies, ½ cup boiled peas and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Fry well on high flame till water dries.
  7. Dish it out and serve hot.
