Deghi Korma

Mutton slow cooked in yogurt sauce aromatized with cardamom, crushed fried onions etc…

Ingedients

2 lb. goat meat, lamb or beef 
1-1/2 inch grated ginger 
6 cloves minced garlic 
1 tsp salt 
4 cardamom pods 
8 cloves 
1/2 tsp garam masala 
1/4 tsp turmeric 
2 small green peppers, chopped 
1 tsp red pepper 
1/2 cup fried onions (crushed) 
1 tsp corriender powder 
8 whole peppercorns 
1/2 cup yogurt (beaten) 
1/2 cup oil 
1 tsp kewra water 
1 (8 oz) can of tomato sauce

PreparatiOn

Mix all the spices (excpet garam masala) in yogurt. 
Put everything in oil with meat and fry well. 
Cook until half done. Add onions and fry well. 
Add 3 cup of water and cook on low heat until meat is tender and gravy is thick. 
Add garam masala and remove from heat.
