Hummus Recipe

Hummus – Middle Eastern hummus is popular throughout the Arab. Eaten as a dip or appetizer with meal. It’s very healthy to eat because of it’s combination of ingredients.
Recipe Ingredients

  • Chickpeas 300 gm (soaked overnight)
  • Lemon juice 2
  • Sesame seeds 3 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 2 (crushed)
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil 1 tsp for garnishing
  • Paprika 1 tsp for garnishing
  • Spring parsley 1 for garnishing (finely chopped)
Recipe Method

  1. Boil chickpeas in a deep saucepan with cover until tender.
  2. Reserve the cooking water.
  3. Transfer boiled chickpeas to a blender with lemon juice, sesame seeds, garlic and salt.
  4. Add just enough cooking water to be able to run the food processor and blend to make a dip of soft creamy consistency.
  5. Garnish with olive oil, paprika and parsley.
