HYDERABADI FRIED FISH

INGREDIENTS

  • Fish fillet 300 gm
  • Crushed cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds crushed 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for fry

COOKING DIRECTIONS

Dry roast 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp poppy seeds, 1 tsp crushed fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp sesame seeds. Now grind the roasted seeds finely and remove in a bowl.

Heat a little oil in the same pan, add in 1 chopped onion and sauté for a while.

In a bowl marinate fish fillets with ground seeds mixture, sauté onion, 1 tbsp ginger paste, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp lemon juice, salt to taste and 2 tbsp gram flour.

Also add 1 – 2 tbsp water if needed.Heat a little oil in a frying pan, shallow fry the marinated fish till golden brown.Dish it out, serve hot.
