Kerala Fish Curry Recipe

This mouth-watering   recipe for Kerala Fish Curry can be prepared in 30 minutes .
Kerala Fish Curry
Recipe Ingredients

  • Fish with bone 1 kg
  • Roasted grams 50 gm
  • Desiccated coconut 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3 – 4
  • Onion 1
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Yogurt 125 gm
  • Chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves few
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Ginger 1 piece
  • Water 1 cup
  • Oil ¼ cup
Recipe Method

  1. Cut fish into small cubes.
  2. Heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 50 gm ground roasted grams and 2 tbsp desiccated coconut. Fry for a few minutes,Add in 2 ground tomatoes, 1 ground onion, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin powder and ½ tsp all spice powder. Fry for 3 – 4 minutes,
  3. Now add whipped yogurt, salt to taste and 1 cup water. Cover and cook for 6 – 8 minutes.
  4. Then remove lid, add fish cubes, cover again and cook for 5 – 6 minutes.
  5. Now turn the flame high, add 3 – 4 chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves and ginger julienne.
  6. Fry well, then dish it out and serve hot.
