Kofta Tahini Recipe

Seasoned mince is topped with a tahini mixture and almonds and then baked. This delicious meal is enjoyed with pita bread, fresh salad and Arabic pickles
Kofta Tahini
Recipe Ingredients

  • Minced mutton 1.5 kg
  • Whole almonds 100 gm
  • Tahini 200 gm
  • Onion, finely chopped 200 gms
  • Parsley, finely chopped 1/2 bunch
  • Capsicum, chopped 100 gm
  • Black pepper 25 gm
  • Cinnamon powder 25 gm
  • Vinegar 70 ml
  • Lemon juice 50 ml
  • Salt to taste
Recipe Method

  1. Mix onion, parsley, salt, pepper, cinnamon powder and capsicum in a bowl.
  2. Add this mixture to mutton mince.
  3. Mix well and flatten on a baking tray.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix tahini, vinegar, lemon juice salt to make a thick paste.
  5. Spread a layer of this mixture over mutton mince and garnish with almonds.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked.
  7. Serve with pita bread and salad.
