Meat Loaf With Potato Crust Recipe

Meat Loaf With Potato Crust
Recipe Ingredients

  • Mince beef 400 grams
  • Onion 1 (finely cut)
  • Garlic 4 cloves (finely cut)
  • Curry powder 2 tsp
  • Red chillies 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Spring onions ¼ cup (finely cut)
  • Eggs 4 (beaten)
  • Bread crumbs 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 4 tsp

For potato topping:

  • Potatoes 400 grams (boiled)
  • Black pepper powder ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 2 tbsp
Recipe Method

  1. Heat oil in wok and lightly fry mince, onion and garlic.
  2. Add curry powder, salt, red chillies and little water and bring to boil.
  3. Lower flame and keep in dump.
  4. Add spring onions and put in a bowl to cool.
  5. Mix breadcrumbs in eggs and mix into meat mixture.
  6. Spread meat mixture in a baking dish.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven to 180°c for 30 minutes.
  8. Boil potatoes, retain ¼ water in which they have been boiled.
  9. Mash potatoes in the water, add topping ingredients.
  10. Fill potato mixture into a piping bag and decorate baked mince with it.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes.
