Methi murgh pulao by Shireen Anwar


Rice ½ kg
Chicken 1 kg 16 pieces
Onion finely chopped 1 cup
Oil ½ cup
Tomatoes finely chopped 2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
Salt 1 tsp heaped
Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
Kasori methi 2 tbsp
Green chilies cut length wise 6
Soak rice for 30 minutes, heat oil add onion fry till light golden add ginger garlic paste fry for 2 to 3 minutes add chopped tomatoes with chicken, also add dry spices with kasori methi fry well till oil separates. Add ½ cup water cover and cook for 10 minutes add soaked rained rice with 2 ½ cups water bring to boil, cover and cook over medium flame until rice and chicken tender leave it on low flame on dum, garnish with green chilies, serve hot with raita.
