Murgh Badami

 

Recipe Ingredients

  • Chicken leg piece  ½ kg
  • Ginger garlic paste  2 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper  1 tsp
  • Lemon juice  1 tbsp
  • Yogurt  250 gm
  • Oil  ¼ cup
  • Onion sliced  2
  • Green cardamom  10 – 12
  • Cloves  1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric  1 tsp
  • Fresh cream  ½ cup
  • Almond ground  100 gm
  • Chili powder  1 tbsp
  • Almond chopped  10 gm
  • Salt  to taste

Recipe Method

  1. Heat ¼ cup oil in a wok, add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and ½ kg chicken. Fry well till golden brown.
  2. Now add 250 gm yogurt, 100 gm ground almonds, 2 sliced onion, 1 tsp cloves and 10 – 12 cardamoms. Fry for 2 – 3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 tsp crushed black pepper, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric and 1 tbsp chili powder.
  4. Cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
  5. Now add ½ cup fresh cream and salt to taste.
  6. Fry a little, then dish it out. Garnish with 10 gm chopped almonds and serve.
