Palak Gosht Recipe

Nowadays, the Palak Gosht is almost known in every parts of Indian-Subcontinent nevertheless this dish is especially preferred in the Northern parts of India & Punjab of Pakistan, where the Mughals have left a long lasting influence in the South Asian cuisine.
 Palak Gosht
Recipe Ingredients

  • Spinach 1, 1/2 kg
  • Mutton 1 kg
  • All spice 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Caraway seeds (ground) and coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Green chillies (ground finely) 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee as required
Recipe Method

  1. Boil and grind spinach.
  2. Then in a vessel, heat 1 tbsp ghee.
  3. Add mutton and brown. Add 1 cup water.
  4. Cook on a low flame till tender.
  5. Then add the other ingredients and spinach.
  6. Cook till meat and spinach are well done and oil separates.
