Southern Fried Rice


Recipe Ingredients

Onion sliced                               1

Red capsicum                            1

Carrot                                          1

Egg                                               2

Green chilies chopped            3

Boiled bean                                125 gm

Boiled peas                                 ½ cup

Garlic                                           3 – 4 cloves

Ginger chopped                        1 piece

Rice                                              300 gm

Prawns                                        300 gm

Black pepper                             1 tsp

Lemon skin                                 1 tsp

Chili garlic sauce                       2 tbsp

Soya sauce                                 2 tbsp

Worchester shire sauce          2 tbsp

Oil                                                 3 tbsp

Salt                                               to taste


Recipe Method

Boil 300 gm rice and keep aside.

Cut 1 onion, 1 capsicum, 125 gm green beans, 3 green chilies and 1 carrot into juliennes.

In a wok heat 3 tbsp oil, add 1 piece of chopped ginger and 3 – 4 cloves of garlic. Fry well till golden brown.

Now add 300 gm prawns, fry well till its color turn to white. Now add all the sliced vegetables.

Also add ½ cup boiled peas and cook for 2 – 3 minutes.

Add in 2 beaten eggs.

Now add 300 gm boiled rice, salt to taste, 2 tbsp Worchester shire sauce, 2 tbsp soya sauce and 1 tsp crushed black pepper.

Mix well and dish it out. Serve hot.
