• 1 cup paneer (cottagte cheese) cubes
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1/4 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 5 to 6 fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon nigella seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon asafetida
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 3/4 cup fresh curd
  • 1 teaspoon plain flour
  • 3 tablspoon chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt to taste


Mix the fennel seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, nigella seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida in a small bowl.

Now heat the oil and add the above seed mixture.When they crackle, add the onion and sauté till it turns golden brown.

Add paneer, turmeric, chilli powder, black salt and stir for some time.

Add curd, sprinkle it with plain flour and mix well. Add coriander and salt and boil it. Now you can serve it hot with rice or chapatis.
