Spinach Potato Soup Recipe

This homemade creamy soup loaded with potatoes, spinach and whipped cream. Spinach is a colorful addition to ordinary potato soup.  So easy, healthy yet flavorful!!

 

Ingredients for Spinach Potato Soup:

  • 4 peeled potatoes, cubed
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions:

  • Place  potatoes, onion and bouillon in a large saucepan.
  • Add water.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cook for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  • Stir in the spinach and dried onion.
  • Season with nutmeg and salt.
  • Cook 5 minutes longer or until spinach is wilted.
  • Stir in cream.
  • Cook 2 minutes or until heated through.
  • Ladle soup into 4 bowls.
  • Spinach Potato Soup is ready now.
  • Serve with Crusty Italian Bread.
