Food: Some Great Tips

A portion of the population may be “supertasters” meaning that flavors can be amplified to them and found unsavory. They may struggle with foods like Brussels sprouts and other pungent vegetables. Scientists are working on a “bitterness blocker” that may help to make these foods more appetizing to these individuals.

Eating while you work may be considered a virtue by your boss, but your waistline may suffer. Studies show that if you don’t focus on your food, you may end up nibbling and eating more throughout the day. Those extra calories will translate into weight gain over time.

You can’t remove sugar and fat from recipes without replacing these ingredients with equally enticing flavors. Think about using fresh and dried herbs like smoked paprika, flavored vinegars, fruit puree and lemon or lime juice.
